Project Description

This National Memorial commemorates revolutionary freedom fighter Thaddeus Kosciuszko , preserving the place he called “home.” The National Park Service sought to provide a more comprehensive learning experience to visitors, and more prominently display this historic landmark. Scope of work included the replacement of wood shake roofing, felt eave protection, roof flashing, gutter lines, pole gutters, and downspouts. It also included repair of exterior wood trim, doors, windows, and the repointing of brick masonry. This project was recently awarded a 2013 Preservation Achievement Award by the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.
