Opened in 1976, Hewitt Hall is located within the Naval War College at Naval Station Newport in Rhode Island. Renovations to the building included extensive masonry repair, roofing, and mechanical upgrades. New bird mitigations and lightning protection were installed, as well as new framing and screens. Exterior granite veneer walls and all perimeter doors were re-caulked, and a new expansion joint system was installed. In penthouse, new DDC control, motors, and pumps were installed. 4 AHU’s were repaired. In individual rooms, new perimeter induction unit dual temperature isolation valves, drain valves, and induction unit pneumatic 2-way control valves were provided.
