Ted Weiss Federal Building Elevator Modernization

Wu & Associates served as the prime contractor to provide general contracting services for the modernization of eight low-rise / mid-rise elevator and two service elevators at a high security 34-story federal building in Lower Manhattan. Work entailed phasing, rigid security clearance procedures, utmost safety precautions, and detailed coordination to accommodate the fully occupied nature of the federal building. Scope included gearless traction passenger and service elevators, mechanical, electrical, controls, fire protection, and general carpentry.
