Fletcher Fitness Center

This project entailed the design-build renovation of the Fitness Center at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. Used by sailors and marines to maintain and test for military fitness standards, the fitness center underwent a wholesale upgrade of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with new roof insulation, to meet the energy efficiency goals set by the Navy. The Fitness Center is also frequented by families and civilian contractors to exercise, get fit, and undergo physical therapy. At the close of the renovations in 2014, Wu & Associates celebrated another successful, accident free project. As a reward to staff members and subcontractors who passionately upheld the company’s culture of safety, a project member was chosen for an all-expenses paid vacation.
