Naval Submarine Base New London, Building 29 Power Plant Renovations
The company was recently awarded this new project for renovations to the Building 29 Power Plant at Naval Submarine Base New London, the world’s first submarine base. Opening in 1872 the base has been a pioneer in its field, including the launch of the first nuclear-powered submarine in 1954. This will be the company’s first project in Connecticut, and is scheduled to break ground next Spring. The project will involve the replacement of a cooling tower, generators, and other utility modifications to a building which services nuclear attack submarines.
