Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site
This site marks an important early American industrial landmark in Pennsylvania. Operation from 1771-1883, Hopewell Furnace was an “iron plantation,” one among many that assisted the United States in becoming an industrial giant. During the American Revolution, Hopewell Furnace forged iron cannons, shots, and shells for George Washington’s army. Wu & Associates completed carpentry, stucco, masonry, and interior repairs, as well as applications of lime paint to restore the original character of the buildings.
